- Wash your hands often with soap and warms water
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water aren't available and if your hands are not visibly dirty. Make sure the product you use has an alcohol content of 60% or higher.

Get your flu shot each year. Visit one of the Health Unit clinics, or see your own health care provider.
- Cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve (e.g. into your elbow) when you cough or sneeze.
- Wash your hands with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, if you used a tissue or if you used your hands to cover up.
